Environment

Help us to keep Earth beautiful

Among the many challenges that the world faces today, we can’t forget our responsibility of taking care of this Earth as its condition affects all life upon it. With that fact in mind and the realization of the degradation of the environment on many aspects, The Hanuman Foundation (Sree Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple Charitable Trust) formed our Environmental Program in which we conduct projects that address some challenges that need to be met to ensure a safer, cleaner, and healthier environment.

The Hanuman Foundation particularly concentrates on improving the environment in economically depressed areas of the places to improve the lives of the poor while teaching them the value of caring for the Earth.

The Hanuman Foundation Environment Program includes the following projects:

  • Green Energy
  • Plants
  • Clean Drinking Water

Join your fellow citizens in helping to save the environment,” focusing on the descriptive Norm.

Our Green Energy

When we talk about Green Energy, we mean electricity and gas made from renewable sources – we mean Green Electricity; made from the elements, the Wind, The Sun and the Sea – and Green Gas; made from food waste and from algae.(A large group of simple no flowering plants containing chlorophyll but lacking true stems, roots, leaves, and vascular tissue)

Plants

Hanuman Foundation gives plants to students, farmers and communities to encourage tree planting activity. In addition Hanuman Foundation also provides brochures explaining the ecological benefits of trees and instructions how to successfully nurture them.

For each school and community, a team lead and back-up member is appointed; he/she is responsible for implementing and coordinating the project successfully, monitor, and report on the survival rate of trees every month. This process allows Hanuman foundation to gain a good understanding of the issues and critical success factors so appropriate improvements can be made during next planting season.

Drinking Water: provide clean drinking water in poor villages:

Lack of clean drinking water is a major problem in developing countries. Water-borne diseases are rampant in economically depressed rural areas because clean running water (typically provided by the municipalities) is simply not available. The only alternative is to install hand pumps or deep wells (drilled wells) to draw clean water from the ground depending on the depth of the water table. Hand pumps are normally installed for obtaining water at the maximum depth of 150 feet depending on the region and local topography.

Delivery with Water Tanker

Many places with dense populations lack adequate fresh water because municipalities which should be supplying them are failing due to decaying infrastructure and rising population. For such instances, Hanuman foundation has started delivering water to the masses via a water tanker which is filled with fresh water from our own wells or water plants. If not for this service, the people would literally be fighting with each other over scarce water sources.Presently there is no drinking clean water provision for the villages, schools. After the implementation of the project a provision of a stand post will be made and the people will have access to water from water tankers.

Drinking water or potable water is water safe enough to be consumed by humans or used with low risk of immediate or long term harm. In most developed countries the water supplied to households, commerce and industry meets drinking water standards, even though only a very small proportion is actually consumed or used in food preparation.

Over large parts of the world, humans have inadequate access to potable water and use sources contaminated with disease vectors, pathogens or unacceptable levels of toxins or suspended solids. Drinking or using such water in food preparation leads to widespread acute and chronic illnesses and is a major cause of death and misery in many countries. Reduction of waterborne diseases is a major public health goal in developing countries.

Water has always been an important and life-sustaining drink to humans and is essential to the survival of all known organisms. Healthy living-water excluding fat, water composes approximately 70% of the human body by mass. It is a crucial component of metabolic processes and serves as a solvent for many bodily solutes.
